If you need help to obtain a duplicate title in New York, this short guide will show you everything you need to know.

If your vehicle is currently titled in the state of New York, the owner can follow one of these steps:

1. Go online and complete your New York Duplicate Title Application.
2. Choose one of the following options:
  - Bring your New York Duplicate Title Application to the Department of Motor Vehicles.
    - Estimated time of delivery: 5-7 business days
    - Cost for duplicate: $20.00 If we purchase/pickup your vehicle, we will reimburse you for your $20.00 duplicate title fee!
  - Mail your New York Duplicate Title Application to the Department of Motor Vehicles:

Estimated time of delivery: 6-8 weeks
Cost for duplicate: $20.00 If we purchase/pickup your vehicle, we will reimburse you for your $20.00 duplicate title fee!
