If you need help to obtain a duplicate title in Louisiana, this short guide will show you everything you need to know.

If your vehicle is currently titled in the state of Louisiana, the owner can follow one of these steps:

1. Go online and complete your Louisiana Duplicate Title Application.
2. Choose one of the following options:
  - Bring your Louisiana Duplicate Title Application to the Office of Motor Vehicles.
    - Estimated time of delivery: 7-10 business days
    - Cost for duplicate: $68.50 + handling fees If we purchase/pickup your vehicle, we will reimburse you for your $68.50 duplicate title fee!
  - Mail your Louisiana Duplicate Title Application to the Office of Motor Vehicles:

Estimated time of delivery: 2-6 weeks
Cost for duplicate: $20.00 If we purchase/pickup your vehicle, we will reimburse you for your $20.00 duplicate title fee!
