If you need help to obtain a duplicate title in North Carolina, this short guide will show you everything you need to know.

If your vehicle is currently titled in the state of North Carolina, the owner can follow one of these steps:

1. Go online and complete your North Carolina Duplicate Title Application.
2. Choose one of the following options:
  - Bring your North Carolina Duplicate Title Application to the Division of Motor Vehicles.
    - Estimated time of delivery: Over 15 days
    - Cost for duplicate: $20.00 If we purchase/pickup your vehicle, we will reimburse you for your $20.00 duplicate title fee!
  - Mail your North Carolina Duplicate Title Application to the Division of Motor Vehicles:

Raleigh, NC 27699-3148

Estimated time of delivery: Over 15 days
Cost for duplicate: $20.00 If we purchase/pickup your vehicle, we will reimburse you for your $20.00 duplicate title fee!
