If your vehicle is currently titled in the state of Vermont, the owner can follow one of these steps:
Go online and complete your Vermont Duplicate Title Application.
Choose one of the following options:
Bring your Vermont Duplicate Title Application to the Department of Motor Vehicles:
- Estimated time of delivery: Same day (Montpelier office only)
- Cost for duplicate: $35.00 If we purchase/pickup your vehicle, we will reimburse you for your $35.00 duplicate title fee!
Mail your Vermont Duplicate Title Application to the Department of Motor Vehicles:

- Estimated time of delivery: 7-10 business days
